CERSS

The Centre d'Etudes et Recherches en Sciences Sociales (CERSS) was created in 1993 by a group of academics, researchers and practitioners in social sciences from Moroccan universities.

The CERSS, which is governed by the legislation in force on associations, aims to carry out studies and research in the social sciences in order to contribute to a better understanding of Moroccan society and its regional and international environment.

In this respect, it carries out research, studies, works, consultations, expertise and opinions related to the objectives of the centre. It publishes periodicals and research works and organises colloquiums, seminars, scientific meetings and training cycles.

Subsequently, training activities have become central to the life of the CERSS: the creation of a master's degree in social development at the Mohammed V University in Rabat, organisation of continuous training cycles on social development, holding of the University of Social Development (summer and winter sessions), training modules on specific themes (project development and management, capitalisation, social public policies, etc.)

The CERSS also pursues these goals by establishing cooperation with all national or international organisations and institutions pursuing similar objectives to those of the centre.
